The best morning this week was when we went to Yuth’s (one of the project leaders) nephews house to have a cooking lesson. Yuth’s nephew is a chef so we got the opportunity to go and have a big group cooking lesson and learn how to make Amok. It was a really nice way to spend the morning and I really enjoyed being able to learn more about the culture of the country and spending some time with local Cambodians.

At the end of last week we spent a couple of mornings helping the community, which included litter picking outside KidTEA school and planting trees for poor families. Saturday night we took the project leaders out for dinner to say thank you for all the work they have done for us, followed by karaoke.

Monday we went to a Buddhist monastery to help the monks chop fire wood and moving large piles of dirt. After finishing the work we received a water blessing from one of the monks. Everyone loves teaching the children, even the few that started off not enjoying the teaching have now really got into it. We will all be sad to leave our current classes but are looking forward to see what we can offer at Let Us Create.
