Last week was spent finishing the floor at Moshono primary before heading off to Emaoi School, a co Ed government run school, on Tuesday. We split into groups, some of us testing our art skills creating teaching aids whilst the others began on sanding and painting a classroom. On Wednesday we moved onto pulling up the floor in order to lay a new (and hopefully level) one. On Wednesday we celebrated the return of Marissa and Rachel who had made it all the way up to the top of Kilimanjaro (my worst nightmare but each to their own!).
Mathias then threw a graduation ceremony for all of the 6 weekers leaving and had the most AMAZING supper cooked by the chefs. Thursday was spent with those leaving escaping to the pool and Jimmy spent the following 24 hours on continuous airport and bus shuttle runs.
Only one week left in Arusha remains and everyone is preparing themselves physically and mentally for the impending 12-hour bus journey to Dar. Sorry to disappoint all my dedicated readers but I have to say goodbye as I have recently run away to Kenya…but don’t worry the updates on what is going on will continue and will hopefully be more informative!
